Important Announcements

Transport:
Those of you arriving on 24th August, who booked your accommodation with Travelink through the Registration Site, will have received an email asking for your arrival and departure times. Please do not worry, more information will follow from Travelink about the shuttle bus services between the airport and the hotels.  Members of the Local Arrangements Committee will be at the airport to meet as many of you as possible and help direct you to the shuttle buses.
Dress Code:
Lots of you are asking about a dress code at the opening and closing services.  It is entirely up to you what you wear.  You may decide in your Units to wear your national costume; or you may decide in your Areas that you will all wear the same colour or outfits made from the same fabric.  There is no formal dress code.
Thursdays in Black:
Do not forget that we will all be wearing black on Thursday 27th August, and to bring black clothing with you.
Money:
Obviously the local currency in New Zealand is the New Zealand dollar.  However, you may wish to bring some US dollars with you as well to spend in the Assembly Marketplace.  Many of you are bringing goods from your own countries to sell and, no doubt, the prices will be in US dollars.
Day Registration:
Day registration for Wednesday 26th, Thursday 27th and Friday 28th August is now open.  Anyone wishing to register for one or more of those days may do so by clicking on this link – Home – WFMUCW 15th World Assembly  The cost for each day is US $300 which includes lunch and dinner.
Opening & Closing Services:
The Opening Service which starts at 7:30pm on Tuesday 25th August is open to anyone who wishes to attend.  We are aware that family and friends accompanying some of our registrants may wish to experience the local culture at the opening service.  The Closing Service on Saturday 29th August, which starts at 7:00pm, is also open to anyone wishing to attend.  This will allow family and friends of the newly elected World and Area Officers to attend their Installation and share in Holy Communion.   Please note this does not include dinner on either of these days.
Area Banners:
There will be a procession of Area Banners at the start of the Opening Ceremony on Tuesday 25 August.  All Area Presidents and Area Vice-Presidents are asked to bring their Area Banners with them to New Zealand and join in this procession.  The Area Banners will be displayed in the main meeting room throughout the Assembly.  Please include a pole and cord to enable your Area Banner to be hung from a stand.
Unit Banners:
Units may bring a Unit Banner if you wish.  If you do not have a Unit Banner, you may bring a flag.  Please note each Unit should only bring one of these – either a flag or a banner, not both.  These will be displayed around the walls of our main meeting room throughout the Assembly.  There will NOT be a procession of Unit Banners/flags.  The recommended maximum size for Unit Banners is 90cms x 60cms or 3 feet by 2 feet.
Marketplace:
Many Units have already reserved marketplace tables.  Please ensure that you have checked the regulations on the NZ Government website – Bringing Goods into New Zealand
If anyone who has already registered now wishes to book a table in the Marketplace, you must contact Travelink and ask them to add the table to your registration – wfmucw@travelink.com
