A Worldwide Campaign to oppose violence against women and children.

Theme: UNiTE to End Violence Against Women and Girls.

As World Federation of Methodist and Uniting Church Women we call for action against one of the world’s most persistent violations of human rights- violence against women and children. These 16 days provide a dedicated period for advocacy and action.

What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of a difference you want to make as a group or an individual. Activism is all about taking action, whether those actions are big or small it doesn’t matter, what matters is that the message has been communicated to the people.

Activism against Gender Based Violence (GBV) campaign led by UN Women serves as a powerful reminder of the widespread violence women and girls face worldwide. “One in three women experience gender- based violence- UN News.” We say no to any form of violence including physical, emotional, psychological, sexual or economic violence. Nothing can be an excuse for violence against women. Let us act as leaders in our communities and say no to violence and harmful practices by showcasing solidarity against it, sisters if we don’t speak, who will speak.
