The World Federation of Methodist & Uniting Church Women are saddened by the death of Pope Francis and extend our deepest sympathy to all our Roman Catholic sisters and brothers around the world. We thank God for this man of integrity who displayed unwavering service to the Gospel of Christ. His courage to challenge injustice, his compassion for the poor and vulnerable, his commitment to care for creation, and his promotion of Christian unity will live long in our memories and lives. May his life of Christian service bear lasting fruit.
